We are so proud that Kurera Tidningen tested gua sha treatment with our founder Katties Åkesson , and shared her experiences in a nice report!
Gua sha – natural skin care with millennial roots
Gua sha is a skin care method that originates from traditional Chinese medicine. Through light, sweeping movements with a gua sha stone , circulation, lymph flow and cell renewal are stimulated, which can give the skin more radiance, elasticity and balance.
In the article, Katties says:
“Gua sha facial detox is a way to 'clean the skin' via the lymphatic system, so that circulation starts and the cells receive nourishment. When the flow works better, the skin feels both more vibrant and clearer.”
A treatment that creates balance
During the treatment, Me Anima's natural oils are used – including the facial oil with chamomile, lavender, ylang-ylang and frankincense , which soothes and moisturizes sensitive skin.
The scent of aromatherapy also helps create calm and inner balance.
Kurera's tester describes the experience as:
“Relaxing, calming and with a clear difference in the skin afterwards – smoother, more even and more radiant.”
Kattie's tips for those who want to start with gua sha at home:
- Always start by moisturizing the skin with oil or serum.
- Drag the stone outward and downward on the face to help lymph flow.
- If you have redness or sensitive skin – avoid too much pressure and work carefully.
- For anti-aging effect: use the stone upwards on the areas where you want to stimulate circulation.
- Do the treatment 3–4 times a week, 5–10 minutes each time.
- Try it yourself
